Welcome to the official site of Kendriya Vidyalaya Karimganj , one of the most prestigious educational institutions of Karimganj .This centre of excellence was established in the year 1992 as a civil sector school affiliated to CBSE. Initially it was started functioning in the rented building at Settlement Road, Karimganj and on 28.6.2007 the Vidyalaya was shifted in its permanent building at Nilmani road, Karimganj . K V Karimganj is situated in the heart of the city in the vast expanse of 1,54 acres. The Vidyalaya is having Classes from I to XII(Sc.) with strength of more than 632 students .The staff of this Vidyalaya has been striving to achieve academic excellence and development in the total personality of the students.

The Kendriya Vidyalayas have a four - folded mission, viz.,

1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education;
2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;
3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Concil of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and
4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indianness" among children.
